Fishing on Niue can often be incredible. Just ask the people who keep coming back year after year. Sometimes multiple times throughout the year. Wahoo are often encountered, and being one if the fastest fish in the sea, the strike from a wahoo is quite simply explosive. Mahi Mahi when in season are the most stunning visually, and are a great fighting fish. Stubborn, acrobatic & powerful, sometimes throwing the hook leaving the angler in awe at the electric colours your eyes have never experienced before. Yellowfin Tuna run all year round. These powerful muscle machines are great fun no matter what the size.Niue's deep blue indigo water is encounteted straight from launching at the wharf, enabling the lines to be set  immediately with no travelling time involved. Multiple inshore and offshore F.A.D's (Fish Aggregating Devices) ranging in depth from 200m to 700m give us lots of areas to target. And if the weather is right circumnavigating the island is possible on a normal charter trip. Niue has in my opinion some of the cleanest blue waters in the world. With no rivers or standing water, and no industry polluting the water lense, visibility of 40-60 m is the norm. So when people talk about blue water fishing this is it. You have to see it with your own eyes to believe it. Whale season usually occurs from August till October and the Islands waters transform into nto a truly magical place with Humpback Whales often coming as close as 100m from shore. Whilst cruising along the reef drop off sighting a whale or two is a common experience. And if your out on a charter the chances of spotting a Humpback Whale increase considerably. Spinner Dolphins, Humpback Whales, Sea Snakes, Turtles, Whale Sharks, Manta Rays, False Killer Whales, Pilot Whales, White Tip Reef Sharks, Grey Sharks are all creatures of the ocean I have personally encountered whilst taking people fishing in Niue's pristine waters. So come, let's go. What are you waiting for.
